ParticipantPlease look at Section H.10 of the attached policy.
Below is what is stated in our Evidence Items policy
d. Sexual assault evidence kits or other DNA evidence from a victim reporting a sexual offense, shall:
(1). Be submitted to the proper laboratory within 30 days from: {CFA 27.14A}
(a). The date of its receipt, or
(b). The request of the victim or the victim’s representative.
(2). Be stored in a secure, environmentally safe manner consistent with the FDLE’s Crime Laboratory Evidence Submission Manual until the prosecuting agency has approved its destruction.We hope this is helpful:)

ParticipantBelow is what we included in our agency’s Evidence Policy:
Provisions for maintaining the integrity of evidence in the event of temperature change detrimental to the evidence stored in either the refrigerated storage area, freezer storage area, and/or refrigerated lockers are as follows: {CFA 27.08B}
(1). Audible temperature alarms are activated for refrigerated storage.
(2). Maintenance is notified via text message for refrigerated storage alarm only. If temperature alarms for the refrigerated lockers or freezer storage are activated, notification is sent to the Information Management Services (IMS) Section, the Evidence Unit Supervisor, and the Crime Scene Section Manager via email, and the Evidence Unit on-call phone is notified via text message.
(3). If power outage, a backup generator for the Evidence Unit is activated.
(4). If malfunction or ongoing power outage, emergency repair services are requested, and if necessary, Evidence Unit Specialists shall transfer evidence into a secure temporary storage area while the refrigerators or freezers are being repaired.We hope this is helpful:)

ParticipantBelow is what our agency policy states:
Members are permitted to place their BWC into Buffering mode or Mute the audio on the BWC if the member is not interacting with the public (i.e., talking to a Supervisor or another member).
The member may deactivate the BWC and place it into Buffering mode or Mute the audio on the BWC during non-enforcement activities, some examples include but are not limited to:
(1). Directing traffic.
(2). Remaining on a crash scene and the member is not interacting with members of the public (i.e., traffic control and/or waiting for a tow truck).
(3). Assigned to a static post, where the member is not in contact with citizens.We hope this is helpful:)
