James Aguiar, Jr.

James is an assessor and team leader for law enforcement and corrections for the Commission for Law Enforcement Accreditation, Florida Corrections Accreditation Commission and Florida Model Jail Standards.

Gary Barrett

Gary was hired at the Leesburg Police Department in 1992 and is a lieutenant serving as the accreditation professional standards commander.

Juli Brown

Juli has 15 years of experience in accreditation – 10 years as the accreditation manager for the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Division of Law Enforcement.

Lisa Cahill

Lisa is a highly trained public safety telecommunicator with over 23 years of 9-1-1 call center operations and management experience.

Training Sessions

Fundamentals of Accreditation

This course provides entry level knowledge of accreditation management and is intended as a stepping stone to completion of the more extensive Accreditation Manager Training.

Harnessing AI for Policy Development

The course will include a a basic description of how AI works, pitfalls to watch out for when using AI, an introduction to the current open source AI platforms that are available and a hands on demonstration of CHATGPT.

Effective Culture Change

This course will help leaders understand that to create effective culture change, they must first change themselves.

Communications & Active Assailant Incidents

This course will cover the response, difficulties faced with dispatch/communications, after action to include PST mental health and lessons learned.
