We really only have a mentoring program for our dispatchers, but if it helps, here’s what we have!

Yeah – I am not going to remember to go looking for questions if they don’t change it to where we can get email notifications.

Law Enforcement Officers/Affiliates and Protective Custody – These types of arrestees being booked into the facility shall be booked in the same manner as
newly arrested inmates but shall not have any contact with any other inmate.

    1. Special care shall be taken for this status of arrestee to ensure that all staff is aware of the need to keep the arrestee separate from other inmates. This
shall be accomplished through documented pass-on, tagging of the inmate contact card as “PC” (protective custody), and by written report to the
    Classification Unit.

We have 10 Field Training Officers on the law enforcement side. They are supervised on a day to day basis by one Field Training Sergeant assigned to their shift. The program itself is supervised by an Administrative Lieutenant who reports to an Administrative Captain. Number of trainees is no more than we have field training officers so, no more than 10 at a time.

Our Directive Review Committee reviews and votes on all substantive policy changes. A PBA representative is a voting member for all policy changes. That way, they get to review all changes, whether or not the policy revision affects bargaining.
