We are mainly running 22’ Sea Hunt BXBR’s. They are a 22’ center console. Powered by 250 Yamahas.
(I have a solid contact for these boats if he needs it. )
For our shallow water patrols and calls, we have a stump jumper 15’ airboat powered by a 440 Lycoming aircraft engine. We also run a 17’ Sea Arc center Console Mud Boat powered by a 37 horse power vanguard surface drive motor.
Hello. Our Chaplain at Lake County SO wears either a shirt/tie or logo polo for routine assignments. For more formal occasions we have a white uniform shirt with a specialty badge that reads “Chaplain” and collar brass indicating which faith he/she is a Chaplain of.

James.Vachon@lcso.orgHello, I attached our policy regarding personal conduct. There’s a very brief section on criminal investigations involving employees. Basically, we just pause the IA portion and give it to our criminal investigations unit or FDLE depending on the circumstances. Our CIB conducts the criminal investigation as normal.

James.Vachon@lcso.orgHello. Lake Co. SO has Internal Affairs, Accreditation and Media Relations under Professional Standards. At present we also have body cam redaction clerks assigned to us. The unit is commanded by a sworn Lieutenant who supervises two Sgt’s that handle Internal Affairs and Accreditation as well as one Corporal who shares the PIO duties with the Lt.

James.Vachon@lcso.orgHello. This is Lake Co. SO’s CISM policy. We also have a Peer Support team but we’ve started to combine the two so we will soon just have CISM. One of our local police agencies has a Chaplain that is certified to teach the basic course. He’s retired NYPD and a really great instructor if you end up needing one.

Hello. Lake Co. SO has a pretty robust therapy dog program. We have three handlers, all of them put their personally owned dogs through Paws and Stripes training at the department expense and bring their dogs with them to work. Currently they are all assigned to our School Resource unit but that is not a requirement. I attached our policy, we do not have a job description so far.
