Can anyone send their agency policy on members being investigated for Unlawful Conduct and/or criminally charged. Looking to see how other agencies handle this issue.

Hello, I attached our policy regarding personal conduct. There’s a very brief section on criminal investigations involving employees. Basically, we just pause the IA portion and give it to our criminal investigations unit or FDLE depending on the circumstances. Our CIB conducts the criminal investigation as normal.

    Hope this helps.

The attached policy addresses the employee notifying the Department (III.A.5.), administrative leave (III.M.2.), and recording personnel under investigation (III.O.3.).
