I am reaching out to see if any agency has a publication similar to the one attached. I have found various agency policies regarding the processing of arrestees who require religious accommodations. I was unable, however, to find any publication issued in the State, County or region that expands on the significance of certain religious garments, especially as it pertains to the extreme need for modesty during the booking process.
Any information you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Place: The World Golf Resort in St. Augustine, FL during the FLA-PAC Conference.
Purpose: To review and discuss proposed standards revisions and any other issues or concerns involving the minimum standards and operations of Florida’s county and municipal jails.

In reply to: Physical Fitness Standards Testing for Staff
We follow FDLE’s physical agility test. All sworn staff must complete it annually. Staff hired after October 1, 2017 must complete it in 6 minutes and 4 seconds. Staff hired before that day must complete it but are not required to complete it within the time frame. Any staff member that completes it in under 5 minutes receives an extra personal day as an incentive. I have attached our policy, where it is referenced in Section IV, and FDLE’s test for reference.

We do not require traffic unit members to obtain/maintain motorcycle certification to stay within the traffic unit.
That being said, we have traffic unit members who are cross trained as motor officers and must maintain their certification to stay as a cross trained member (Reserve Motors).
