    Good Morning All,

I am seeking information on what other departments/agencies are doing for Physical Agility Tests (PATS) or any standardized fitness test for their certified staff members. Any information regarding courses, measurables, minimum standards, and frequency of testing would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank You,

We follow FDLE’s physical agility test. All sworn staff must complete it annually. Staff hired after October 1, 2017 must complete it in 6 minutes and 4 seconds. Staff hired before that day must complete it but are not required to complete it within the time frame. Any staff member that completes it in under 5 minutes receives an extra personal day as an incentive. I have attached our policy, where it is referenced in Section IV, and FDLE’s test for reference.
