ParticipantI think you are overthinking this. There is no standard or statute that would prevent you from storing anything belonging to the agency anywhere temporarily. As long as you follow your agency protocols on accessing the evidence unit (logging in each visitor, escort, etc.), you should be fine. I would suggest that your evidence custodian does a joint inventory with your armorer on delivery, accepting them by signing off on the packing/inventory list, then signing off on each removal as they are moved to the armory. CYA always! Just my humble opinion…

ParticipantThere is a size limitation of 100 MB or less for any file uploaded to PowerDMS. I’ve found that if your file shows close to that size, it sometimes will actually try to take more space. I haven’t had issues uploading anything up to about 98 MB. The bigger the file, the slower the load whether adding it or when a user opens it later. For videos over 100 MB, you can always upload them to a private YouTube account, then use the embed code in a document in PowerDMS to link to it. See the uploading videos guide in PDMS University.
Hope that helps!

ParticipantSince you didn’t specify a standard, here’s a generic answer. It depends on which standard you are proving. For example, in Chapter 7 for 7.06 the appeal has to be in the cycle year, even though the investigation may have begun in a prior year or cycle. For chapter 20, the first three would be within the cycle, but 20.04M the investigation may have begun earlier as with 7.04 but the conclusion and notification would be in the applicable cycle year. Hope that helps!

ParticipantDepends on the day of the week Christmas falls on. It may be Christmas eve or the day after Christmas. This year, since it falls on Thursday, Friday is off.

ParticipantEmail UCR@fdle.state.fl.us stating “We request the report showing the FIBRS use of force submissions by month for our agency, ORI number (“FL number”), for (a specific year) to use as proofs of compliance in our accreditation files.”
I covered this in my Ch. 4 specific class a couple conferences ago.
Enjoy!

ParticipantHello,
The Palm Beach County Sheriff attendees are interested in securing these rooms if they are still available. I have emailed you and looking forward to hearing back.

ParticipantUnless you are less than a year from your formal assessment and the change adversely affects your preparation and/or potential compliance, when the “new version” button appears, you can update your assessment.
Hope that helps.

ParticipantFor many years, the State Attorney’s office for the 15th Circuit has published a legal updates newsletter titled the “Legal Eagle.” Any agency can access the current edition by going to the “Resources” tab on the SAO15 website: https://sa15.org/
Prior editions used to be available, and I’ve inquired as to where they can be found. I’ll update this post when I find out anything.
Enjoy!

ParticipantWe have a few manuals written on common reports using the current Reporting/Analytics. Attached is the most common one, SIA010 on Signature Summary Reports. We have updates in progress on the others, so I didn’t attach them. I also have a manual on how to edit, review, and approve PowerDMS documents. You can email me for any of the others.

ParticipantLook into a power vent for the area you store weed in that would create negative pressure in that area while venting the fumes to the outside.

ParticipantOur agency’s stance has always been as long as it remains a Federal criminal violation, use by employees is prohibited.

ParticipantPBSO uses the County fuel system locations, including ones co-located with HQ and one of our Districts. The Ward Automated Fuel Management system uses a driver card and a vehicle card, like swipe credit cards. The link is: https://www.ejward.com/
