Here’s what our says:
F. NON-SWORN UNIFORMED PERSONNEL
Non-sworn uniformed personnel will wear their department issued uniform, unless designated otherwise by the Chief of Police.
1. Telecommunications and Records members will be issued department polo shirts and jacket. Pants to be worn shall be black, navy, grey, green or khaki in color. Pants design may be similar to 5.11 style. Pants shall not have any holes, rips, tears, or embellishments of any kind. Shoes and/or boots to be worn will be black or khaki in color. Belts, if chosen to be worn, will be black or khaki. Telecommunications personnel may wear jeans and sneakers. Jeans are to be in good repair, not whitewashed, no holes, rips, or frays. Sneakers must be in good repair, but may be any color. Any socks may be worn.
• Personally owned sweaters and/or jackets are authorized with prior approval from the Telecommunication / Records Manager.
• Telecommunication may wear department issued badge. Belt badge holder, provided they have received written approval from the Chief, is authorized but is not department issued.
• Telecommunications may wear department issued ball cap.2. Property & Evidence/Crime Scene Technicians – will be issued black BDU trousers, and gray polo shirts.
3. Community Service Aide – Community Service Aide(s) will be issued grey polo shirt with navy BDU and belt.
4. Request for Uniform Accommodation: Any member requesting a uniform accommodation or modification for a medical, pregnancy-related, or disability-related reason shall make a request in writing outlining the requested accommodation and underlying reason to the Chief of Police or designee.
