ParticipantSorry, we do not have anything in policy, but our agency has allowed sworn members to buy back guns from the vendor the new guns are being purchased from. They take our old guns as a trade in and turn around and offer to sell them back to deputies, if wanted, but only the deputies old assigned guns. The deputies can’t buy anyone else’s old gun, just their own old gun. It depends on the vendor as well.
Hope this is helpful:)

ParticipantGood morning,
Reserved deputies work a total of 15 hours per month. The number of hours may vary due to events they help with, and the 15-hour mark may be waived depending on circumstances.
-Emails are noted along with policy reviews, but no one claims the time to just look at emails. They justify their hours by adding notes in their timecard for each day worked.
-No specific requirement for patrol hours. Reserve deputies mainly work helping with Community Outreach events or traffic details.
-There are no consequences for not meeting the monthly hours, as we know why they may not complete them. However, we’re expecting them to help when asked.
-Termination for failure to meet hours…I have not dealt with that issue because we are flexible with it, I guess. But our policy states:
“Failure to meet the minimum mandatory monthly requirement of fifteen
(15) hours of service for three (3) consecutive months or four (4) times in
a calendar year may result in termination from the Auxiliary and Reserve
program. Compensated Auxiliary and Reserve Deputies shall receive
prior supervisory approval for any time worked over fifteen (15) hours.”Hope this helps.

ParticipantWe are ready to go live with the County School Board’s 32 school zone speed enforcement cameras on the 24th of this month. We don’t own the cameras but we provide enforcement and citations. The county gets the profit, we don’t see profit except for $2 per citation. The County School Board purchased the cameras from Verra Mobility. Reach out to verramobility.com for any questions regarding effectiveness.
Hope this is helpful:)
