Involved parties will be instructed to self-report the crash to the FLHSMV website (FloridaCrashPortal.gov) or exchange information without police involvement when all of the following criteria are met:
a. The crash occurs in a parking lot or on private property,
b. The apparent damage is under $500, and
c. No criteria for a Long Form crash report exists.Erika Hasson

ParticipantSt. Petersburg Police Department. In our county, municipalities handle the initial part, and the SO handles everything after the hearing. If firearms are surrendered on-scene, we transfer them to the custody of the SO. The SO executes search warrants, handle returns/notifications, etc.

ParticipantThe St. Petersburg Police Public Safety Cadet Program was initially created as the St. Petersburg Police Explorers in 1969. The program was run under the Boy Scouts of America – Learning for Life division through 2021. In 2022, the program joined the Public Safety Cadets organization and continued to be sponsored by the St. Petersburg Police Department.
