    Good morning,

For Sheriff’s Offices – Do you have a separate promotion process for Judicial/Court Security personnel? If not, is your process for promotion grouped into the Law Enforcement or Corrections promotion process?

We currently group our Judicial/Court Security personnel, wishing to go through the promotional process, with our LE personnel. We are interested to see if any agencies promote directly and only within the Judicial/Court Security. If you do, can you send us your policy?

    Thank you!

Hey Megan! Our Court Security Unit is a function of our Department of Law Enforcement. They go through the same promotional process as law enforcement. Court Security is just an assignment so staff can be moved in and out of there as necessary.

    Good morning,

Our Court Security falls under law enforcement and therefore would go through the same promotional process as other law enforcement deputies.

    Thank you,
