Good morning,
The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office has partnered with LD Consulting to host the Law Enforcement Inspections and Auditing Course #LEIA-101. This course provides a basic understanding of inspections, audit guidelines, writing an audit plan, formatting reports, risk assessments, and statistical sampling. This course is for both sworn and non-sworn professionals. The class will take place April 15-17, 2025. We also will be hosting the certification course, LEIA-201, November 17-20, 2025.
**I personally have taken both courses and I highly recommend them! You will receive all of the sample audit documentation for a complete audit plan, as well as an already set up excel spreadsheet to complete statistical sampling calculations. We currently use the statistical sampling for our Property and Evidence Examination and Inventory for CFA 27.13M, as well as other various staff inspections agency wide.
