Good morning everyone!
Before I started in accreditation, Areaka Jewell started a focus group called Accreditation Mastermind, where a handful of Accreditation Managers met quarterly to discuss trends they were seeing or any topics of interest amongst themselves, whether it be points of confusion, newly added or edited standards, etc. I joined this group when I first got into Accreditation and it helped a lot to just listen to a few people who had far more expertise in this than I did. Areaka took a step back this year to focus on her endeavors, (including her book!), so she requested one of us take it over to keep it going, which brings us to now 🙂
My goal was to expand this group to use it to provide a free little one-hour training webinar quarterly and invite anyone interested to take an hour and tune in for a little free training from some of these important topics that may help you in case you cannot attend a conference or just want to hear from some of these amazing people in Accreditation!
This quarter’s meeting is: February 12, 2025 from 11:00 AM-12:00PM
This month’s speaker is Flora Miller from the Florida Department of Children and Families Office of Inspector General where she is a regional investigator and the accreditation manager.
She will be going over File Maintenance Tips so this can be helpful to so many of us!
The meeting is via Microsoft Teams so please email me at cberges@altamonte.org and I will FWD you the meeting information; that way I can also get a headcount.
