Per one of our Traffic sergeants, “PBSO does not charge for usage of a DRE. Under mutual aid agreements, if a local agency ask for assistance, then we will send our certified DRE deputy to assist after approval by a lieutenant. Any event or request outside of the county has to be approved by command. Re-imbursement may occur through grants or FEMA if event occurs due to a critical incident or natural disaster.”
