ParticipantOur Records Unit coordinates and manages public records request. If there is a Corrections-specific request for records (e.g., corrections accreditation, classification, etc.) they will send the request to the appropriate person depending on the request.
Our rated capacity is 1,370 and we currently have 1,040 inmates

April 29, 2025 at 4:11 pm in reply to: Use of Restraint Beds and Inmates with Continual Self-Injurious Behavior #23351Michael OBrien
ParticipantWe have recently introduced a restraint bed for an inmate who kept pulling his insides…out! Our written directive is currently in draft mode, so here it is.
He continued to injure himself unless he was restrained in 6 points, so medical staff helped ambulate his limbs, then we went right back in. Due to his behavior, he was under continuous direct observation of two ERT members at a time. Previously and for other inmates, we have used CNAs through a company contracted by our medical provider to lower the cost and labor, but those inmates were less disruptive. This inmate was reviewed daily by our Inmate Management Team comprised of sworn staff, medical, and mental health staff to keep his behavior plan relevant and up-to-date with his actions.
Please let me know if you have any questions!

ParticipantGood afternoon!
Our jail utilizes the Band-It for high-risk transports and high-profile court cases. It is applied by our Emergency Response Team at our jail prior to transport. I have attached our written directive and associated forms.

ParticipantGood afternoon Captain Scott!
I have attached our policy regarding inmate correspondence. We do not allow any physical personal mail at our facility anymore in effort to reduce drug soaked papers and postcards from coming in. Our mailing restrictions at listed in Section B of our attached Standard Operating Procedure. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any other questions.

ParticipantGood afternoon,
We conduct unannounced shakedowns all the time within our facility. I have attached our policy. Shakedowns are specifically mentioned in Section F. Our shift commanders are the ones responsible for ensuring shakedowns are completed. They will usually delegate to the wing supervisor and follow up once they are completed. The wing supervisors will log each shakedown on our shakedown log (an excel spreadsheet) and a deputy will write a report documenting the shakedown and any substantial findings.

ParticipantHey Megan! Our Court Security Unit is a function of our Department of Law Enforcement. They go through the same promotional process as law enforcement. Court Security is just an assignment so staff can be moved in and out of there as necessary.
