ParticipantThe last update I saw was to hold off…but I had already updated. It was a bit wonky at first but I am not having any issues now. Hope this helps.

ParticipantOur EAP policy mentions a contract psychologist. We have a contract with Tampa Bay Psychological Associates. Employees can make appointments directly through the psychologist’s office. She will see each employee for 6 sessions per issue. Our City EAP is also pretty robust as far as resources and referrals for everything to a lawyer to a daycare.

ParticipantSeparate from the other PD entrances, we have a small lobby specifically designed between P&E and the outside for the return of property and evidence.
Release to Owner:
a. Firearms will be released with the plastic zip-tie intact.
b. The zip-tie will not be removed by the owner while on Department property.
c. Ammunition will not be returned to the owner on the same day as the return of the firearm unless authorized by a Supervisor, Crimes Against Persons.Erika Hasson

ParticipantWe use a circular flow chart kinda thing (page 6). The idea being “that officers make use of force decisions based on the totality of circumstances at the time of the incident. Circumstances are fluid and dynamic. Formulating a valid response requires continual assessment as the situation changes.”
Hope this helps!

We can initiate them using forms in our county-wide affidavit system. Everything after the hearing is handled by the SO, including the return of firearms. If someone surrenders a firearm to us, we transfer it to the SO.
