The Miami-Dade County Corrections and Rehabilitation is seeking your assistance in determining whether your department offers a de-stress room, quiet room, relaxation room, mental health room, or chill room for staff who have experienced a traumatic event during their shift. If such a facility exists, could you kindly provide your policy regarding its use and any relevant details?
Hello,
We have one in our Communications/EOC building. It doubles as a nursing mother’s room. We do not have a written policy on it however. We reached out to one of our larger hospitals in the area for sponsorship, they paid to have the room outfitted with furniture, a small refrigerator and decorated it.
