    Good Morning All-
    I am reaching out for general information from agencies that have the position of “Police Trainee” i.e. agencies that sponsor candidates to complete the Public Service Academy. I wanted to know if you complete any onboarding before they begin at the academy and what that looks like for your agency.
    This will be our first time sending anyone and I want to make sure we have everything covered.

    Our agency processes sponsorship the same as any sworn hire. They complete a medical, physical, psychological and background along with passing the requirements of attending the academy which is a Basic Abilities Test (BAT) and Physical Abilities Test (PAT).

    Our onboarding process is also the same as any new hire.

    Our onboarding for a cadet is the same as a new hire.
