Inmate’s Religious Articles (Jail)

Good Afternoon,

We are conducting some research on whether or not your jail allows inmates to keep religious articles, specifically jewelry such as crosses, and other religious medallions. Is there a vetting process for these items? If so, what is it? Some types of religious jewelry could pose a serious threat to the safety and security of the jail so we would like to know what types of items are allowed and how you screen/monitor these items while balancing the issue of practicing religion.
