Attorney Rules – Questions

We are having some instances of attorneys bringing in legal paperwork for inmates which has been contaminated with drugs. As we revamp our policies in relation to this, I wanted to reach out and see if anyone could offer their agency’s stance:

• Do you guys have a rule form for your attorneys to sign? If so, can you attach it to your response?
• Do you allow contact visits with your attorneys?
• If so, what are the rules for their visits?
• Do you copy legal work brought in by attorneys and give the copy to the inmate rather than the original?
• Are you guys seeing anything similar with attorneys bringing drugs into your facilities?
