We conduct unannounced shakedowns all the time within our facility. I have attached our policy. Shakedowns are specifically mentioned in Section F. Our shift commanders are the ones responsible for ensuring shakedowns are completed. They will usually delegate to the wing supervisor and follow up once they are completed. The wing supervisors will log each shakedown on our shakedown log (an excel spreadsheet) and a deputy will write a report documenting the shakedown and any substantial findings.
