Good morning,

Here’s the information provided by DM Householder, Radio Services.

PBSO utilizes the cruise function on our patrol vehicles for both daytime and nighttime operations. We’ve found it to be an effective visibility tool that enhances officer presence without the intensity of full emergency lighting.
The primary benefit we’ve observed is increased visibility during traffic enforcement, proactive patrols, and while stationary on roadside details — helping to deter violations and increase safety. We haven’t encountered any significant downsides with proper use and officer discretion.
Let me know if you need any further details.
