The request to recover costs in any investigation is based on three things: 1.) The rate per hour of the type of employee spent doing the investigation. We charge $50 per hour for a deputy, $25.00 per hour for a Field Service Technician and $30 per hour for a crime scene investigator. 2.) The mileage based on the IRS rate for any transportation. 3.) A $50.00 administrative fee.
Wo do not charge extra for the type of training a particular deputy has. See our attached form.
