Please look at Section 4.D.5. of Policy 470.0. Stun cuffs are utilized by our Court Deputies.
Stun-Cuff
a. A Stun-Cuff device may be used by sworn members who have successfully completed the training in its use, with the approval of a Court Unit Supervisor and the presiding judge (if present).
b. Members shall only activate Stun-Cuffs in response to a subject’s active physical or higher level of resistance, as defined in Policy 470.0 Response to Resistance and Aggression, or to prevent an inmate from escaping.
