The Evidence Unit gets called out anytime there is money more than $10,000 found on scene. We use our money counter, Allison Cummins, to count everything while 2 people are present.
For the drug cases, our agents will record it with their camera/BWC, collect and package it, with 2 members sealing the bag. The money is then transported back to Evidence uncounted. When they get here, we will run it through the money counter. Having the video covers them from liability.
