Yes, Highlands County Sheriff’s Office owns a digital microfilm reader and scanner. The equipment allows us to convert microfilm images directly into PDF files, which can be uploaded into our document imaging software (FileBound) without the need to print and rescan. However, if a paper copy is required, it can be printed from the digital file.
